Montgomery Springs joins the Natural Hydration Council

The Natural Hydration Council (NHC) is pleased to announce that Montgomery Spring Water has become its newest member.

The NHC represents over half the bottled water categoryin volume in the UK and its members are all producers of naturally sourced water. The NHC aims to raise awareness of the importance of healthy hydration amongst policy makers, media and other stakeholders through scientific evidence and independent research. It also communicates the facts on bottled water to ensure the category is properly represented to these audiences.

Andy McAdam, Commercial Director of Montgomery Spring commented; “Montgomery Spring is very pleased to be joining the Natural Hydration Council. As one of the UK’s largest producers of bottled Mineral Waters, we are delighted to be part of an organisation uniquely dedicated to the promotion and advancement of our category”.

Kinvara Carey, general manager of the NHC, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Montgomery Spring to the NHC and look forward to working closely with them.  We are very proud of the work we have done so far to communicate how good hydration habits can positively impact the nation’s health, and we know that by continuing to increase support from our membership, we can have an even greater impact”.

Recent NHC activity includes a partnership with the Children’s Food Trust on the Wise up With Water schools campaign and a collaboration with Kidney Research UK, resulting in a new fact sheet on Hydration and Kidney Health, promoted for World Kidney Day.

The NHC is guided by a Scientific Panel on healthy hydration and a Technical group for all bottled water matters. Both of these groups are chaired by ex-Danone Scientific and Public Affairs director, Jacques Obringer. The NHC is also a member of the European Federation of Bottled Waters.
